What is EITC?
Pennsylvania allows a limited number of taxpayers to redirect their state income taxes locally to lower-income students at a private school instead of paying those taxes to Harrisburg. This program is called the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. Through this tax credit program, donors receive a 90% tax credits when filing their taxes.
This credit is beneficial for all involved but credit are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so it’s recommended that taxpayers get started early by filling out an commitment form that FundEDU can provide to reserve an EITC tax credit.
